Back in December of 2007, I applied to work at Walt Disney World. Through an interview process, I got accepted and on May 25th, I left Canada, headed for a summer of adventure, making close friends and great memories. Despite my 1st program coming to an end on August 8th, 2008, those friends remain lasting ones, and the memories continue to make me nostalgic about all things Disney.
Now, in 2010, I have restarted the application process, and am awaiting an interview-- to be held on March 3rd in Toronto. Everything is a little different when you know what to expect, there are fewer surprises and less questions.
My blog from my first summer, ICP 2008, (which, if you are interested is located at disneysummer.blogspot.com ) is both very detailed and very sparse. When in Orlando, the days are long and filled with activity, making blogging as I was attempting to, as a means of recording everything that happens, really difficult. My goal this time is not to detail every second of the process, every question asked at the interview or moment of my workday, but rather to capture the big picture of my time in Florida (assuming I get in). I hope this wll make blogging less of a chore, and my posts more interesting.
I also plan on doing a 'Pic-a-Day', take at least one picture a day, or choose my fave pic from the multitude taken that day,and post it both on here and on Facebook.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to hopefully enjoying the best summer of my life all over again-- with a different cast of friends and roomies, maybe a different role, but still the amazing setting of WDW.
